[Sphyrna-devel] Current status?

Since I joined this project I haven't seen much activity on the mailing
list or the subversion repository (and I haven't had time to go through
all the openmoko IRC logs). I am curious about where other list members
are in the reverse-engineering process.

As for myself, I spent quite a bit of time this weekend trying to
reproduce some of the sequences that I have seen in the trace files but
I am getting stuck at a fairly early point. I can do the initial search
to see which satellites are visible and what their approximate Doppler
offset is, but I lose the signal when I try to do the next step in the
sequence.

I think that my main problem is that I am not correctly calculating the
value for (the channel-specific) register 0x0b. It's usually a constant
c0044000 during the initial search sequence, but in the next stages it
is a different value e.g. c0044af1 or c00452d3. The value seems to be
related to the lower half of the 0x11 register in the previous result
packet, but I haven't figured out the details. Does anyone else have
any hints about the 0x0b register values? Has anyone managed to get
beyond the first stage of the acquisition sequence?
