I don't think the size matters. I have a couple of 8GB cards working
just fine. Some time ago I resetted the compatibility chart in the
wiki so that there are only a few options there, but such that have
been tested with 2.6.34+ kernels:

I can heartily recommend that Transcend's TS8GUSDHC6-P3. I bought a
second one 1.5 years or later and that one also worked well. I also
bought one 16GB Class 10 card from Transcend but that one didn't work.
I've had failures with 4GB and 2GB Kingston cards as well (Class 4 I
think). So there is no size pattern, just different cards otherwise.
