install.sh fails at line 1785

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the replies so far. I have moved on a bit further but am
still having problems. I was initially trying to upgrade from QtMoko but
the script required a package called "ar" that I could not find. So I
switched to SHR as an interim distribution. After installing perl and
bash, the script seemed to run smoothly although there were lots of
warning noise along the following lines:-
perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
LANGUAGE = (unset),
LC_ALL = (unset),
LANG = "en_US.UTF-8"
are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").
However, the script finally bailed after a few hours with the following
error:-
