I'd just like to be clear on the overall situation then.

I think you are implying that
- o-p-p definitely does need updating, when moving from odeviced to fsodeviced
- as far as you know, no one has done those updates yet.

Is that correct?

If so, I guess it must also be correct that no one has reported o-p-p
working correctly with fsodeviced.  I guess you'd want to resolve that
before making fsodeviced the default, wouldn't you?  (Or does using
the SHR apps instead make o-p-p obsolete?)

Personally I'm afraid I'm unlikely to work on this anymore soon,
because odeviced (+ the patch that started this thread) works fine for
me, and there are plenty of other things on my list.

Not right now.  I'm happy to get one if there's reason to believe that
this problem if specific to me.  But I don't _think_ that's the case;
anyone interested can run o-p-p and fsodeviced and get this.
