I don't think it matters much. Old or not, it was probably working to
some extent, and it's worth integrating and testing. hackable:1 makes it
easy to improve and spread working configuration and environments.

And then, if anything critical is missing, we are also able to backport
changes, that are then compiled from and for either Debian Lenny or
Debian Squeeze, and not requiring system upgrades anytime unstable changes.
