that can't be the correct answer. the docs of the powercontrol subsystem
says there is a boolean comming out. so this is a framework bug not an
opp one. if the interfaces is changed from a two state to a three-state
interface the try catch block would be necessary but for the moment that
should be handled a layer below opp.
