Hehe, you could use Navit! In latest tree is gypsy allready
implemented! Just write in the config (navit.xml) as vehicle source
"gypsy:///tmp/nmeaNP". For example:

<vehicle name="Mine" enabled="yes" active="1" source="gypsy:///tmp/nmeaNP" color="#0000ff">
	<log type="textfile" data="/tmp/track.txt" flush_size="0" overwrite="1" />
	<log type="gpx" data="/media/card/track_%Y%m%d%i.gpx" flush_size="2048" flush_time="3" />
</vehicle>

with this setup you can even add a new track.xml in your shared-maps
directory like this:
<map type="textfile" enabled="yes" data="/tmp/track.txt"/>

then navit shows your path on the map. :)
