Hi,

I am new to this list but have been around OE for the last 6yrs.

I currently administer most of the infrastructure for oe.org (along with the
rest of the nas-admin.org team)

I would propose a modification of Koen's proposal B that looks like this:

Infrastructure Proposal C

VM in .eu for Git and other Time sensitive data (The idea of a pull server
in .eu and master still @ OSUOSL would be easy to implement)

The Hetzner X3 would give us effectively 2cores @ 2.8Ghz/2GB RAM/400GB of
RAID1/2TB of BW for 39EUR/month (no setup fee)
So for 2yrs that would be 39*24=936EUR (or about 1/2 the budget).
Overages in BW would force us to be downgraded from 100Mb/sec to
10Mb/sec permanently (unless we want to spend 7.90EUR/TB of downloaded
data).

This is pricey but would allow us to switch to it if OSUOSL has a problem.

VM(s) at OSUOSL for Autobuilders.
We have space for Autobuilders @ OSUOSL now (like for Angstrom,
-testing, etc)
we can get 2ea at 2.3ghz Cores, 2-3GB of RAM and up to 500GB of HD for each
builder.
(hardware upgrades would help with build speeds and not limit the number
of VMs)

Server upgrades that would help would be a 2U case with Mobo that can handle
up to 64GB of RAM plus 2 additional HDs for extra space necessary for
builders and additional repos So that could be done for around 1100EUR
we currently have 2ea quad core 2.3ghz processors/32GB of RAM/4each 2.0TB
drives/8 port RAID controller. (I have another group who are willing to buy
2 additional drives to bring us up to 8 drives so 10TB of RAID6)

VM(s) at OSUOSL for Static Servers.
We have space for Static/wiki/source/etc servers @ OSUOSl now.
We can get up to 2ea 2.4Ghz cores/2-4GB of RAM/up to 250GB HD with no
transfer caps and up to 20Mb/sec of upload speed.

Mirroring on OSUOSL ftp network for repos
We have access to the OSUOSL mirror network with LARGE pipes
the narcissus builds could be distributed thru this network.
(I know this may not solve the problem in .eu but we need to find
something that doesnt have BW caps or very high ones)

I realize this is over the amount of the Donation. I also realize that we
can't keep coming back every 6 months.
