for the fun of it, I just tried this bug once more

1) put CF card in reader on laptop
2) "touch /mnt/CF256/テスト.txt"
3) unmount card
4) put in Z
5) "ls /media/cf/"

the filename is still displayed with ??? instead of the Japanese glyphs.  Same
thing is true for the opie "File Manager" application.
