without package-staging being used, dsplink fails to parse:

ERROR: EOL while scanning single-quoted string (<string>, line 1) while parsing
/home/slug/slugos/openembedded/packages/dsplink/dsplink_1.50.bb

inherit packaged-staging in local.conf, and all is fine.

comment out the inherit line, and dsplink fails to parse again.
