I'm not expert of configure, but i see a few thing that probably need
attention.

During a build of apr, i've seen this warnings:

NOTE: the following files were installed but not shipped in any package:        
NOTE:   /usr/lib/apr.exp                                                        
NOTE:   /usr/share/build-1/libtool                                              
NOTE:   /usr/share/build-1/mkdir.sh                                             
NOTE:   /usr/share/build-1/make_exports.awk                                     
NOTE:   /usr/share/build-1/make_var_export.awk                                  
NOTE:   /usr/share/build-1/apr_rules.mk                                         
NOTE: DO PACKAGE QA                                                           

And in the config.log:

config.log:installbuilddir='/usr/share/build-1'

In configure.in, there is defined an extra argument --with-installbuilddir,
that is not set during the do_configure.
