I'm going to push back on this one. This was working fine until the recent
changes mentioned in the post. Can you take a look and see if the issue is
related to the code being compressed, but not flagged as such in the image
header?

Not good to leave all the older U-boot users dead-in-the-water. (I've reversed
the diff and it works fine - but I know you were looking for some cool
speedups. Can it be made to work both ways? Option?
