I now know, I believe, what the source of the error in log.do_compile.3793 is.

I trying to compile stuff taht will work with ijs from espgs (or whatever
ghostscript flavor one would choose), it seeks ijs-config.  As OE/bitbake never
built that component, it was looking for it where ever it could find
it...namely it found it on my Gentoo system.

So the problem that it is stuck on now/here is related to espgs not building
completely.
