Also applies to spitz with Angstrom 20070803; GPE.

I've been able to recover by typing "bl 100" or similar into an already-open
tty, or by using "display-brightness.sh up", which I have bound to the mail
button. Neither is ideal.

I guess the answer is model-dependent code that never allows the backlight to
go to 0 on certain machines, unless they are being suspended. Where should this
go, in the kernel? If so, what does the suspend code use to turn off the
backlight?
