Ad comment 10:
I am getting nearly exactly the same asound.state for my SL-C3200 with one
exception: To be able to record, I need "Capture Switch" to true.
I am still unsure about te best setting for ALC and ZC.
But I did some experimenting with my Zaurus and it seems, that things are a bit
different as I was thinking:
It seems, that Bass/Treble settings are really strange: Increasing bass level
adds basses and increasing treble _decreases_ trebles. It sounds more like an
ALSA driver bug than a feature. I don't yet know, which values provide linear
frequency scale, but it really may be Bass=0/Treble=16.
RINPUT1 seems not be not connected, but probably connected to ground to provide
something like differential input. In practice results of "Mono left" and and
"Mono L-R differential" are nearly exacttly the same, but one of them could
provide better signal to noise ratio and loop attentuation.
To simplify Plug and Play setting, I propose to extend sharpsl_rc driver with a
few additional resistor values and assign these values do device types. It
would allow to auto detect inserted devices and auto-reconfigure mixer. Yes,
such devices don't exist yet, but it would be easy to replace device jack by 4
wire one and solder one additional resisor. It would have a problem - wiring is
a bit different for SL-C??? and and SL-C???? and maybe even measurable resistor
scale might be different: CE-RH2 uses cca 3 times higher resistor values than
CE-RH1.
