See http://www.wolfsonmicro.com/uploads/documents/WM8750.pdf for more about
Spitz sound chip (especially block diagram is useful).
I have no confirmation yet, but it seems that Zaurus use 5 pin jack connector:
Left jack ring: LOUTPUT1+LINPUT1
Right jack ring: ROUTPUT1
Third jack ring: One pin for remote (basically resistance meter).
Fourth jack ring: There are two pins. One of them is second pin for remote,
second is headphones detection (might be RINPUT3 switched to phones detection
mode).
Hardware things I still do not know:
- I do not know, which one is ground. It is most probably one of remote pins.
- Which wire should be used for microphone bias.
- Why designers did not connect RINPUT1 to right ring.
And the speaker is connected between R and L WM8750 speaker outputs (yes, it
outputs difference between L and R in the default setting).
All other wires are probably not connected.
See also bug 2617 initial comment for my experiment results, bug 2571 comment 4
for my patch for zaurusd fixing misconfiguration after phones
insert/removal/close lid and bug 2618 for my my guess on Spitz wiring.
