Comments to attached "akita sound state":
This is the previous default sound state from zaurusd with all errors in it.
Details:
Right Mixer Left Playback Switch: Bad. It mixes left signal to right channel
and creates mono signal in the left ear!
Right Speaker Playback Invert Switch: Bad. Should be On: Speaker is wired
between LOUT2 and ROUT2. If it is Off, Speaker plays L-R difference instead of
L+R.
3D Mode: 'Capture' is a pure nonsense, especially if "3D Switch" is on by
default. Only one input (left) is wired, this only adds additional noise.
3D Switch should be off by default.
Bass Volume/Treble Volume: I have no idea which settings provide linear
frequency scale. But value 0 for one and 15 for the second sound suspicious.
ALC Capture Function: I am thinking about setting it On (i. e. Left) by
default.
Right ADC Capture Volume: Should be 0 to prevent digital loopback.
Bypass * Playback Volume: Has no meaning and should be 0, which may prevent
digital loopback.
Speaker Playback Volume / Headphone Playback Volume: Needs some experimenting
with bundled headphones and speaker to bring "equal" volume.
Mono Playback Volume: Not wired. Good to set to 0.
* ADC Mux: Value Stereo has no meaning. 'Mono (Left)' is the only usable value.
Right Line Mux: Setting it to anything else than 'Line 1' (e. g. 'Line 2') will
improve digital loopback attentuation.
* PGA Mux: Probably the same as above. Zaurus wiring prevents any use of PGA
except creating ugly loopback.
And finally, we should define default capture value acceptable for supported
microphones.
