yes, that would be a good start. We need to take care about how to store the
information about applications. There are several entities inside
gpe-applauncher that need to access this information in different ways and we
must avoid both data duplication and excessive searching.
A hash table is good, but the value should be a pointer to the whole application
data structure, so that you can access all the application information such as
the icon and if multiple instances are allowed.
