[Gpephone-devel] Making use of libsettings

Hi all,

what's the current status of our settings API?
We have a couple of applications in SVN depending on it now, but is it ready for
use?
The background is that if we want to make new, consistent releases of
applications depending on it we need to make a stable release of libsettings
first. Another open issue is that we need to implement a tool to fill the
settings database with initial information the applications using libsettings
need to provide. Where possible the application should have good builtin
defaults if there are no settings to use - e.g. most gpe-phonepanel plugins do
not work anymore because they do not have working defaults.
