Hi, Florian, 

In the Gpepe TODO,  you mentioned the Instance Messenger application was needed to be developed. In fact, inside the address book application, there is a tab for network address book. And it can send out instance message to the contacts, display the presence of the contacts. We had thought integrating the native address book and network address book, sending IM message as sending a sms would be an interesting feature. 

However, an separate & traditional IM application can also be developed.
