[Gpephone-devel] About POP3 support in tinymail

Hi,
    Email application is based on the patched tinymail framework. One of 
the modifications made in tinymail patch is adding support for POP3 
protocol in libtinymail-camel layer, but the support is not complete, in 
fact, it is very limited.  

    For example, in interfaces for TnyFolder, only tny_folder_get_headers 
interface  is reloaded specific to pop3 protocol, and other relevant 
interfaces except tny_folder_get_msg are not tested under pop3, maybe some 
of them cannot work under pop3 protocol and future work on them is needed.

  As to pop3 implementation of tny_folder_get_headers, all the messages in 
remote server folder are downloaded first, and then message headers are 
constructed according to the messages.  Obviously, this solution is ugly. 
So I wonder, is there anybody else also do such pop3 support for tinymail? 
If you have more complete and graceful solution for pop3, or you are 
interested in this work, please tell me, we can have a discussion on it.
