ah right, I should have explained this before... sorry.
I intended to change this mode so that there is no need for duplicated desktop
entries. That fixes the mix between folder and desktop definitions that causes
confusion if people do not use the grid layout but see the folder icons in a
separate tab.
Much cleaner in design is to handle the grid layout in explicitly creating a tab
only containing the entries defined by the vfolder desktop files. In addition to
this you safe time because you do not need to filter the desktop files that
actually contain folders.
