Hi Pavan,
Currently, we have two set of address book application packages:
- 1st version (Stable)
librecord, libabenabler and addressbook(application);
- 2nd version (Under development)
librecord2, libabenabler2 and contacts(application);
The first version of address book application is stable and included in current SDK and emulator evironment, while the second is still under development. The second version of address book application is implemented to support following new feastures:
1) librecord2
* Single fields and multiple fields in Record object is merged into only one concept "multiple field";
* Import definition of field identifier and field template identifier to support "multiple field" concept;
* Database transaction supported to resolve the concurrenct access problem and improve the perfromance.
2) libabenabler2
* Maximum compatible to latest LiPS specification of address book enabler;
* Support dynamic loading of extension modules which support different types of addressbook (such as, Network Address Book);
* Support notification mechanism and adapt to newly-design system framework(on progress)
3) contacts
* Adapt existing functionalities which are based on librecord and libabenabler to librecord2 and libabenabler2;
* Enhanced performance on phone devices.
Best regards,
Nan YE
