[Gpephone-devel] PTIM input method

Hi,

latest update to the input stuff in SVN looks quite promising. Is it expected to
work already? I built it on my local workstation and got these results:
- After using gtk-query-immodules-2.0 to create a new configuration I get the
  new input method i can select.
- With some digging in the code I found four environment variables to set:

  PTIM_CONFIG_FILE
  PTIM_PIXMAPS_PATH
  PTIM_HELPER_PATH
  PTIM_ENGINE_PATH

Since the path where these files are installed is defined at build time one of
these is really necessary. It is much easier to install and use the framework
if you pass these as constants to the compiler (like PACKAGE_LOCALE_DIR).
In the case you want to make it possible to change these I would suggest to
introduce a configure switch to set a different location at build time.

After setting the input method I got quite some messages from it, but except of
filtering keyboard input nothing happened. Did I miss anything important or is
there not yet anything I should be able to see?
