Summary: Damaged install file
Product: gpe-calendar
Version: 0.91
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: blocker
Priority: P1
Component: default
AssignedTo: gpe-bugs at linuxtogo.org
ReportedBy: tobias0x-nokia at yahoo.de
Estimated Hours: 0.0
My Device:Nokia N900
OS: Maemo 5
Vers.: 3.2010.02-8
Error:
Installation not possible - installation file damaged
Other parts of the GPE-suit install just fine (i.e.: contacts, timesheet, to-do
list).
However - I *did* install the GPE-calendar on a different N900 in a store, a
couple of weeks ago. It's quite likely, on that Device an older Version of
maemo 5 has been installed. Which doesnt explain the "damaged installation
file" - still i thought it might be of interest for programmers.

Marked as "solved" because:
It was not a bug with the gpe-calendar installation file.
What was the problem:
Double entries of sources.
Unfortunatley - if u use the standard program-manager, you will only see the
"error"msg, listed here.
If u try to install gpe-calendar using the Console/Terminal:
# apt-get install gpe-calendar
(root access required! - install i.e. "rootsh" & gain root by typing "root" in
a Terminal)
You'll get a more adequate description - like in my case:
"You seem to have flaws in your sources-list. Try 'apt-get update'".
I had to use "apt-get update" twice, now it works just charming.
