           Summary: In-place editing
           Product: gpe-todo
           Version: 0.56
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P4
         Component: default
        AssignedTo: gpe-bugs at linuxtogo.org
        ReportedBy: iain.dalton at gmail.com
   Estimated Hours: 0.0

Created an attachment (id=68)
 --> (http://bugs.linuxtogo.org/attachment.cgi?id=68)
Tasque's date select dropdown

Fields should be editable in-place, instead of bringing up a dialog that
obscures other items.

* Priority would be show a dropdown select
* Summary would be an editable field
* Due date would pop up a calendar plus a `None' option, or some common dates,
a `None' option, and an `Other...' option, as in Tasque (attached)
* Category would show either a dropdown multiple-select (checkboxes?) or a
dialog
* Details would bring up a details dialog

It's a small thing, but it's backwards of every other todo list I've used.

Either put an icon (maybe that looks like greyed-out crossed-out text) or an
options dialog that allows to hide completed items. It's much nicer than
having to do housekeeping by deleting items manually.

The whole item is much larger than the edit button, and I assume edit is the
most common thing someone would want to do to a calendar in the calendars
dialog.

I'm using version 0.91-3 in Ubuntu 8.10 on an x86 PC.

Here's what the console prints:

(gpe-calendar:29299): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_reparent: assertion
`GTK_IS_CONTAINER (new_parent)' failed

(gpe-calendar:29299): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_show: assertion
