I've relased Starling 0.9. You can get it from here:
http://gpe.linuxtogo.org/download/source/starling-0.9.tar.bz2
If this proves stable, this will eventually become version 1.0.
Notable changes since the last release (version 0.3) include:
- The addition of a play queue,
- The addition of play lists,
- The ability to narrow the visible tracks according to search terms,
- Starling remembers added directories and scans them for new files
on start up,
- Starling purges stale entries automatically on start up,
- Starling serializes its state on exit and restores it on start up,
for instance, the song that was playing and the position in the
song are saved and restored, so too are the selection and scroll
window's position.
There are a slew of restructuring changes making Starling more robust
and less CPU, memory and I/O intensive.
Note that if you are using Starling on Maemo, you must have
gstreamer0.10-indt-playbinmaemo installed. This package is available
in Maemo's "extras" repository the Bora distribution as well as all
newer distributions.
