I see you mentioned in the original report that the events were coming from
evolution.  This seems to be a problem in evolution and you should report it
there.  My guess is that you can't find the event in evolution because it
doesn't have a start time!  You need to ask the evolution people how you can
get rid of it.

You may also want to report a bug against the synchronisation software -- even
if evolution contains a bad event, the sync software should not be writing
invalid events.

But I don't think there is anything more we can do about it.  I am closing the
bug report -- reopen it if you think there is still a bug in GPE.
