I have now done some testing of alarms on repeating events and I think my fix
is correct, although I had to fix a couple of unrelated bugs as well. So, this
has been checked in to SVN (r9235).

Applied upstream - many thanks. It might be a good idea to join the translation

Currently this is the desired behaviour... it might be an option to change this
in future because it seems to confuse some users.

ok, sounds nasty - I can take a look. Which gpe-todo package do you have on
which device?

I have seen this efect in latest OE builds. In fact libgpewidget seems to be
guilty because gpe-clock suffers from the same effect. It might be caused by a
change in Cairo or similar.

This should happen automatically if you select the matching locale.

Basically I'm fine with this patch, but I see two issues:
- How should an application like Matchbox-Desktop decide that this is not a
generic application that is available from the regular application selector? If
there is a new mechanism for this we need to make sure to have this supported
first.
- SingleInstance without StartupNotification does not work.

Needs investigation: Which gpe-login package from which distribution do you
use? If you built your own: Which configure parameters did you use?
