Sorry, Florian, I am not sure exactly what you are suggesting here.
Does anyone apart from Maemo use the debian/ directories? Neil Williams has
told us that he doesn't use them for debian. Does OE or some other platform
make use of them?
If it is only Maemo which uses them I would suggest that we keep them (maybe
even add them for components which don't have them today but which can be
built on Maemo), fix them for Maemo but make sure they do not end up in the
releases.
