isn't it just a small DBus API change? From what I know bluez-gnome is intended
to replace the old bluez-pin framework only.

I'm pretty sure it lacks integration with GPE PIM application as well. Does it
initiate PAN connections?

Basically a good idea, especially because it is actively developed.
The drawbacks I see is that we would depend on an application that is developed
for desktop use and does not need to care about screen size and dependencies
that much. In addition to this we would add a gconf dependency for a basic and
simple tool for no particular use which makes it even harder to make really
small GPE images.

Currently I would rather take it as an example and the gpe-bluetooth PIN tool.
If someone wants to do something really nice for GPE it would be cool to add
some additional features to gpe-conf and gpe-bluetooth to support some modern
BlueZ features and basic configuration.
