Packages can install init scripts.  Do people think we should do that for 
gpesyncd?  We could ship an init script which did nothing by default but 
which could be configured by the user to automatically start gpesyncd.

Personally I use ssh (I use the real ssh, not dropbear) and configure the GPE 
plugin to use ssh access to run gpesyncd, using a key to automatically log 
in.  That way I am relying on the security of ssh instead of the 
IP-address-based access control in gpesyncd.
