Well... that's more a question about organisation and about how to propose the
to be defined interface then.

As simple as possible... which is in fact not as easy as it looks like. Making
things too simple it might happen that you lock down yourself. :-)

Maybe we should start a wiki page for this to keep the requirements an the
possible solutions together and share it with additional eyes that can
contribute ideas or identify possible problems.

The idea was to start a more generic solution based on zaurusd but unluckily
Richard who developed zaurusd won't be able to help us. Zaurusd's current focus
is on taking action is some hardware event occurs, so the existing code will
cover a small part of the whole thing only.
I guess the still empty devmand project would be fine to start with onece we
have an idea about the whole thing and how to implement it.
