Why not use tarballs?

I continue to be annoyed with maemo getting a preferential treatment over other platforms.
I want to use the new ical stuff on my other PDAs as well damn it!

So please to a gpe-calendar release now (yes, NOW!!), since pointing to "bug that must be
fixed before release" can't be done anymore, since Florian is already pretending to that
the new ical code is 'released' for his maemo debs.

I will do my own gpe-calendar 0.74 release on monday and at that to OE if gpe can't get
its act together wrt creating tarballs.
