This bug is likely bogus, see xref bug.

yes, the bogus claim is bogus. But for peace's sake, bug 3510 in OE has been
created.

http://bugs.openembedded.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3510

Essentially nothing has changed except that Paul should now be satisfied he
closed a bug.

Paul, we are happy that your personal needs for a Russian layout have already
been fulfilled. It would be nice of you if you showed the courtesy to fellow
users in other parts of the world that are less fortunate in this respect to
not call their worries bogus for no reason but koen-style word-mincing.

Thank you for your attention.

You probably missed a browser window, because GPE has little to do with
OE/Angstrom bug process.

Ah, finally, for outsiders, who may not know why the original bug and thus this
crosspost is bogus for GPE: original bug mostly talks about lack of virtual
keyboard layouts. None of virtual kbds used by Angstrom is maintained by GPE
project. xkbd is currently not maintained at all. And matchbox-keyboard is
maintained by OpenedHand. GPE itself doesn't both limits on character input
(but maybe submitter of this bug knows more by filing libgtkinput product;
alas, he's silent with his knowledge).

Junqian did little more than reporting bug 1908. When you made that invalid, I
thought I should update the bug number to 3510 so people in the GPE bug tracker
can go straight there to the most recent information (3510 was your
suggestion).

Unfortunately, the 1908 vs 3510 situation has become a bit muddy by now.

octave needs gfortran. However, the current Angstrom preferred gcc4.1.2 does
not enable gfortran by default. Koen and RP, how's the revamping effort of gcc
going?

sorry about the previous comment. too many open tabs.

My intension was just to give a heads-up, so people can comment, clarify or
correct. At least, seems this was more than achieved during the discussions.

I know little about keyboard layout. And GPE doesn't have a generic place for
bugs that people are not sure under where to file. I'm sorry if filing under
libgtkinput causes more confusion.
