I'm using the Maemo 3.x (Bora) nightly build from a week or so ago. (This bug
has been there across multiple versions). While usually alarms work correctly,
sometimes it will pop up past events completely out of the blue - generally
multiple items, and generally in the recent (last week or so) past. This often
happens immediately upon starting GPE Calendar: I will get notified of events
in the last week or so. As a side effect, if I have sound on, the multiple
overlapping siren sounds make a terrible racket, as I'm sure you can imagine.
I set up my system and synchronize regularly with Evolution according to the
instructions I wrote:

If you have any questions or things for me to test, just let me know.

On Maemo 3.x on an N800, running a recent nightly build of GPE calendar, the
month dropdown box on the toolbar shows a drawing error: there is the dropdown
arrow button to the right, but then what appear to be 2 copies of it drawn
beneath the text as well. I will attach a screenshot.

At the moment, from what I can tell, the alarm in the calendar is a hard-coded
generated sound. It can be rather startling/disruptive, so it would be great
if a sound file (wav, or perhaps something through gstreamer) could be selected
(even if only by a config file) as a different default alarm. On the Maemo
platform, you might offer an option to use the "system ringer" since the user
selects a "ringtone" for incoming internet calls, and they might want the same
(or perhaps not) ringtone for an alarm.

This is a drawing error - seen on Maemo 3.x on an N800. It just became 11:25
on my tablet, and so the orange bar (seen on "today" view) move down to
highlight the current time. However, the far-right edge (about the width of
the scroll bar) was not redrawn in the new position, but left in the old one.
I tried to get a screen shot, but bringing up the menu to choose the screenshot
app covered up where the drawing error was, and when the menu disappeared, GPE
Calendar repainted that part of the screen and the error was gone.
Minor error, but hopefully it is not too complicated to fix as the "current
time" bar is otherwise a pretty slick professional-looking feature.

The Home icon (as well as the left/right arrows), while looking a bit outdated,
is the correct resolution for the size and DPI of the Maemo screen and toolbar.
However, the four to the left of it ("day view" "week view" "month view" "task
view" are what I call them) are blurry, presumably because of the lack of a
high-resolution icon for that position. It might be nice to have a scalable
icon used there, since DPI seems to be all over the place with these new
gadgets :), but probalby just a re-drawn copy of that icon at a higher
resolution would suffice.
If I get a chance and can figure out the codebase, I might draw the appropriate
icons up, presumably in the Tango style that seems to be pretty prevalent
nowdays and matches all sorts of things. If this would be useful, let me know.
(I've attached a screenshot I took for another bug but that shows this one as
well.)
Thanks for your great work!
