[Gpe-list] Russian Fonts

Hello Guys I am using Hentges Rom the latest release with GPE as a desktop.
Right now when I try to open any russian encoded text I see nothing but
jibberish, even tho the encoding is set right in my e-book reader. Any ideas
on what I should do to get it to work. When I was using Opie I had to install
fonts, but I have no idea where to install the fonts and how to change them
in the preferences. Can anyone help me with my problem. I don't even know
where to start. I tried copying the regular windows fonts into
/usr/shared/fonts/ttf/ but they did not show up in the look and feel panel. I
assume thats where I would change the application font.
