With gpesyncd and the OpenSync plugin real syncing should be possible.
Its not that easy to set up but it is expected to work.

We don't have a working solution for remote servers except of gpe-calendars
feature to update from/to ical feeds. It might be quite easy to implement
running multisync with a SyncML plugin on the target device, but i didn't manage
to work on such a solution so far.
