As far as popt is concerned, I have looked at the glib versions
(GOptionContext IIRC) [1] but that doesn't handle broken lines particularly
cleanly. I guess it's not a major thing. Once libxml2 is removed, how
important is it to avoid popt? The CLI component of gpe-expenses is
really intended for use on the desktop PC or via SSH into the iPAQ. (As
with QOF, gpe-expenses isn't intended for use solely within an embedded
context).
