Summary: Importing large vcard has long delay after pressing "OK"
Product: gpe-contacts
Version: 0.46
Platform: Nokia 770
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P4
Component: default
AssignedTo: gpe-bugs at linuxtogo.org
ReportedBy: doc.evans at gmail.com
Estimated Hours: 0.0
When importing a vcard file, the vcard file is imported and then you get a
screen that tells you that the import has been successful.
In order to remove this screen, you have to press "OK".
At this point, the user expects to regain control immediately (because he's
been told that the import is over)... but with a large vcard file, the N770
freezes for a long time (minutes; basically about as long as the import took)
with no idea what's happening, until eventually control is returned to the
user. During this time, there is no indication what's happening, and the user
could easily think that his 770 has crashed, since he's been told that the
vcard importation is already complete.
