Summary: RFE/RFC: should bitbake refuse to work when there are
symlinks in the path?
Product: BitBake
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P5
Component: BitBake
AssignedTo: bitbake-dev at lists.berlios.de
ReportedBy: bugs.openembedded.org at rolf.leggewie.biz
QAContact: tinderbox-oe at gmx.net
(15:21:29) Shoragan: hmm, libtool-native-1.5.10-r4 keeps failing while
compiling :(
(15:22:02) zecke: Shoragan: what is the error?
(15:22:16) Shoragan: it tries to configure it again, and then complains that it
is already configured
(15:23:36) hrw: Shoragan: you have symlinks in path
(15:24:09) schurig: hrw: maybe bitbake should detect if anything in the path is
a symlink and refuse to work if that is true
(15:24:37) hrw: schurig: would be nice
Since it reduces possible errors and eliminates wasted time for everybody it
would be nice if this could be implemented.
