[Angstrom-distro-users] hx4700 stuck key on touch pad

It appears the HX4700 is an abandoned system but I like mine and I don't
want to run windoze. I've seen this issue mentioned but have not seen
anything to actually fix it. So I'm going to ask again.

A lot of the time the touch pad on the bottom of the device gets "stuck"
and constantly sends an "up" or "left" arrow command. "Up" seems to be
the most prominent. This *REALLY* makes the device useless until the
episode passes and it settles down.

Any help would be useful. I'm willing to work with someone, even if I
have to ship them my device, and may even take a whack at the kernel
source if I had any clue as to where to even start looking.
