[Angstrom-distro-users] Moving non system packages to an SD card

Hi all,
Just a quickie question:
Does anyone know where dpkg will install the non-system packages by
default, and at which point in the boot cycle will Angstrom mount the SD
card?
Why:
I would like to sym link the dir to a dir on the SD to free up space on
root so that I can install, hopefully, the jumbo package ( X/Qt ) found
here:
http://www.oesf.org/index.php?title=Running_X/Qt_and_X_apps_using_jumbo_package
This way I might be able to run Firefox there...
