[Angstrom-distro-users] gpe-calendar renders HX4700 unresponsive

On my HX4700/Angstrom 2007.12, there is a problem with gpe-calendar that
is driving me crazy:

To create a new event, one has to tip the touchscreen in the day view
for about a second. However, whenever I tip the touchscreen in the day
view by accident just very briefly (because of sitting in a shaking
train or so), a "New event" window opens up too, but the iPAQ becomes
completely unresponsive: While the cursor keeps blinking, the special
keys still work and the clock updates the time, no more input is
accepted from the touchscreen, forcing a soft restart.

Does anyone else face the same problem? Any suggestions how to deal with
it?
