[Angstrom-distro-users] Altboot inside target filesystems

Is there any advantage to installing altboot in the target
images/filesystems that it boots? I notice that it recommends kexec-tools,
would installing the altboot package give me some utilities to switch
systems without having to reboot? More importantly, would installing
altboot in a target FS cause problems (like an endless loop trying to start
init)?
