[Angstrom-distro-users] C3100 (spitz) Fn key not working

Hi all,
I loaded Angstrom-x11-image-glibc-test-20070828-spitz-installkit.tgz onto a
fresh c3100 (original sharp rom), following the instructions from the wiki
(including fdisk'ing to get a 100+MB /dev/hda1). matchbox worked right from
the start, allowing me to login, start some apps etc.
However, I find that the keyboard is behaving very strangely when I run
terminal (and others, e.g. minimo). The Fn key simply is not working (it just
prints "~"), even though showkey is giving the right keycode (61). Hence, I
have no working "/" key, forcing me to use an onscreen keyboard when I want to
use "/".
I networked to my PC using the USB RNDIS network driver, then ssh'd in, and
installed minimo. When I bring up an address bar, I still have the same
problem so it's not just related to terminal.
Has anybody encountered this? /etc/keymap-2.6 is still the default, and I
checked that AltGR has keycode=61.
P.S. I checked using xev, strangely enough xev seems to return keycodes which
are +8 of the actual value, e.g. Fn returns 69, z returns 52, x returns 53
(when the latter two should be 44 and 45 respectively). Not sure if this is a
factor or not, since z and x are correct.
regards, xarope
