Sorry for the intrusion.
I have an Akita too, but cat /proc/fb only gives

0 PXA

and no overlay or cursor. I have 2.6.22-10 installed.

I installed kernel-image-2.6.22-10 on Akita, copied /boot/zImage
to /media/cf/zImage.bin and rebooted pressing OK, then flashed from CF.
The updater told me zImage was flashed correctly.

uname -a:

Linux akita 2.6.22 #1 PREEMPT Tue Oct 16 02:15:29 CEST 2007 armv5tel
unknown

Is there a module I need to modprobe or a different kernel I need to
download?
