non-integer scaling will always be slow.. for best results pre-format
(scale, rotate) for the zaurus.

dunno if it's true for angstrom, but ensuring the sound sample rate is
48kHz* is also very important, otherwise the sound driver has to
resample other rates to suit.

* any bit rate will do provided the resulting sound playback is 48k.
