[Angstrom-distro-users] installing angstrom on a ipaq h5450

I baked bootstrap and gpe images on a x86_64 host (runnning Debian Etch)
according instructions at
http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/building-angstrom
I used the h5000.conf file doing that.

Coming from a running familiar distribution (0.8-4 rc3) with gpe I used
their bootldr to install the .jffs2 image. This was carried out with a
serial cable connection using minicom and ymodem data transfer.

Booting resulted in:

boot> boot
booting jffs2...
booting boot/zImage from partition >root<

and the boot process stopped, without getting any login prompt. No
display on the ipaq screen.

After some attempts I put out my SD card from the slot and succeded
first to boot the bootstrap image and because of that intermediate
result I booted the angstrom gpe image.

The result was a login prompt for both images at the serial console but
nothing happend with the ipaq screen. It showed the same display since
the reset.

I tried to start gpe-dm, which executed but nothing changed.

Is it neccessary to change to LAB bootloader to get a step further and
does anyone know the reason for stopped boot process when my SD card is
plugged in?

Best regards

Siegfried
