Well, I wouldn't think it's worth to spend time fixing this bug,
unless you're really care too much as user about bootstrap images
(maintainers should care ;-) ).
And you'd need to do that in sources, not in resulting binaries for
this to produce useful results. In other words, you should setup
OpenEmbedded build system and build your own images. And well, take
encouragement to do so - instead of hunting bare bootstrap bugs,
you'll be able to make your own GUI images without waiting for
maintainers, and in GPE image (currently the only supported GUI)
there're still a few bugs to hunt. ;-)
